There's only one planet and it's ours to nurture. Scotland's natural assets should be for everyone to enjoy, and for many years to come, but we need to protect and maintain them to ensure longevity.

Think about how you're impacting the environment when outdoors and the choices you make. Strive to leave a nature spot exactly how you found it; tread the beaten path, don't light fires and take your rubbish home with you. There are other things you can do to be more responsible like bringing a reusable water bottle and a lunch box to avoid the use of single-use plastics and try choosing a green travel option to your destination like walking, cycling or public transport.

We have pulled together some simple tips and links that will help you on your journey as a responsible visitor and we would like to thank you for taking the time to read about ‘Your Commitment’ to nurture our planet:

“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.” Aldo Leopold
