There are so many water-based activities to do in Scotland, and more often than not you can book equipment for a day and do them without a guide.
Sailing dinghies, small motorboats, canoes, kayaks, pedalos, boards (wind/surf/stand-up), fishing boats and fishing gear are all available to hire, and you can also rent additional equipment such as paddles, buoyancy aids, helmets, watertight barrels and dry bags so that you stay safe and dry. When hiring boats you will be given instructions and a safety briefing before setting off on your own.
