The Green House Cabin, Ettrickbridge, Scottish Borders

A relaxing rural retreat for one or two guests in the heart of the Scottish Borders with cosy interior, perfect for escaping in eco-friendly style.

The Green House is a relaxing space for 1-2 guests in the heart of the Scottish Borders away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With stylish open plan living, everything you might need is provided to make your stay as easy as possible. Facilities include an EV charger, fibre broadband, smart tv, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, king size bed and a walk-in shower with plenty of solar powered hot water.

The covered deck, with its comfy hanging day bed and lounge seating area, is perfect for relaxing in all weathers and even stargazing on winter evenings. The large, paved area beyond the deck makes the most of the afternoon and evening sunshine; ideal for relaxing in warmer weather and enjoying a barbeque. A second decked area makes the most of the morning sun, with a separate seating area perfect for an al fresco breakfast. We also have a lockable shed to keep any bikes, fishing gear, paddle boards etc. secure during your stay.

The local area has something for everyone - you could visit several established museums in Selkirk and Melrose and the Great Tapestry of Scotland in Galashiels or visit any of several historic houses around The Scottish Borders. There are lots of walking and hiking routes, road and mountain biking from the doorstep or in Peebles at the famous Glentress, or go fishing on the Tweed or the Ettrick River, or paddle boarding at St Mary's Loch. The award-winning local pub, the Cross Keys Inn, is only 5 minutes’ walk for a welcoming drink of locally brewed beer, and tasty meals. Coffee shops, bakers, butchers and restaurants are only seven miles away in the town of Selkirk. The Green House recently achieved a GOLD Green Tourism Award. You will be sent a virtual guidebook on booking.

Unfortunately, we do not accept dogs or any other pets.
