Wildlife Watching Holidays

Speyside Wildlife was established in 1991 and offers wildlife-watching day trips, tours and holidays in the UK and Overseas. We cater for a wide variety of wildlife-watchers, from the dedicated wildlife enthusiasts to those who simply wish to include some wildlife-watching as part of their holiday.

Evening Mammal Watching Hide – Located in the Cairngorms within the Caledonian Pine Forest near Aviemore. Badger are regular visitors all year round and Pine Marten can also be seen. A variety of other Scottish wildlife may visit our hide whilst it is still light, including Tawny Owls, Red Squirrels and Roe Deer. Each evening wildlife watching experience lasts approximately three hours.

Badger Photography Hide – Our hide is dedicated to photographing badgers under natural conditions. During the summer months the nights are short, enabling you to photograph animals in daylight. Located a short distance from Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park within a peaceful woodland setting, allowing you to photograph and watch these timid creatures from a respectful distance, as they forage the woodland floor and interact with each other in the early evening light.

Guided Days Out – If you’d like a half or full day of wildlife watching in the Cairngorms National Park or a full tailor-made holiday anywhere in Scotland, Speyside Wildlife can help! The Scottish Highlands is home to some iconic wildlife species but finding them can be a real challenge. Whether you are part of a family group wanting to see a broad range of Highland wildlife, or a keen birder looking for a specific and elusive species, our wildlife guides will guide you to the best locations using their expert knowledge; so whether it’s Dotterel and Ptarmigan on the high tops, Crossbill and Crested Tits in the forests, or maybe Otter and dolphin on the shoreline, tell us what you’d like to see and we can help you achieve your wildlife watching ambitions.

All-inclusive Wildlife Holidays and Tailormade – Expert wildlife guides will be able to give you some of the best opportunities to see the wildlife you’ve always wanted to see, but still give you complete, relaxed enjoyment, so that you can ‘switch off’ for the week. The guides’ enthusiasm is infectious and whether you are a beginner or experienced, young or old, they’re happy to take time so you can enjoy the wildlife experience to the full. Small group sizes ensure individual attention, giving you the space to enjoy your surroundings, whilst marvelling at the wildlife, all in the fantastic company of like-minded guests, who share your enthusiasm for the natural world.
